Ebook publishing coaching
Everything you need to know about publishing and marketing ebooks.
My ebook coaching sessions are aimed at authors who are considering independently publishing their work (either new titles or reissuing backlists).
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why should I choose you as my ebook coach?
I have built a successful publishing company from scratch, and survived and thrived in an increasingly competitive marketplace for over a decade. My imprint, Wyndham Books, has published many bestsellers in the US, UK and Australia, with total sales of well over half a million copies. Enthusiastic about the ebook market, and its potential for authors, I very much enjoy sharing my experience and knowledge of ebook publishing.
I am a frequent speaker and workshop leader on ebook publishing. I have run ebook and publishing workshops for many years, including regular in person and online sessions for the Society of Authors. I have also spoken at universities and industry conferences, including for the Romantic Novelists’ Association and the Historical Novel Society.
What is covered in a coaching session?
The sessions are tailored to each author’s specific requirements, and can include topics such as:
- Why independently publish your books as ebooks? (reasons for independently publishing your book as an ebook rather than trying to get a traditional book deal);
- Are you the right person to publish your work as ebooks? (what qualities and skills you need to be successful at publishing ebooks);
- Is your book suitable for publishing as an ebook?;
- Publishing options (sales channels for your ebook);
- Preparing your manuscript (includes editing, proofreading, formatting, cover design and pricing);
- Publishing your ebook (how to publish your ebook via Amazon, Apple and Kobo);
- Marketing your book (includes blogging, Facebook, Amazon Marketing Services, Book Bub, getting reviews for your books, coverage online and in traditional media).
How long is each session?
Each session lasts 60 minutes and can be done by telephone, Skype or Zoom. Before the session I will send you a brief questionnaire, so that I can research and prepare for our session before it takes place.
How many sessions will I need?
That is up to you. An initial 60 minute session can give you an overview of one or more of the steps above (agreed in advance). If you would like follow up sessions that can be arranged, but there is no obligation to book more than one session at a time.
How much will it cost me?
Each 60 minute ebook coaching session costs £80 (+ VAT) = £96. Payment is made by BACS.
