Ken Pye at the Smithdown Litfest

24TH SEPTEMBER 2022 / NEWS

Ken Pye had the audience at Toxteth Library gripped with his talk on Liverpool Murders and Misdemeanours, as part of this year’s Smithdown Litfest.

Ken described the most notorious, and grimmest, murders and other crimes in and around Liverpool from the eighteenth, nineteenth, and early twentieth centuries.

As a popular local historian, Ken is very well known across Merseyside and the North West. He is the author of over fifteen local history books.

Ken has just completed Beastly Merseyside, which tells of the roles that animals have played in the history of the City and region, and is about to begin work on A Potted History of Liverpool. Both of these books will be published in 2023.
