It was a pleasure to interview bestselling family saga author Sheila Riley about her books and writing career as part of this year’s Smithdown Litfest.

Our event took place in the stunning library of Ullet Road Unitarian Church.

Sheila entertained the audience with tales of how she became a writer and where she finds the inspiration for her plots and characters. The audience shared their own stories too – with memories of Liverpool in the past and family histories.
